Peel Coat, Type I
All Type I coatings are based on Ethylcellulose. These coatings also contain mineral oil and are designed to leave an oil film on the protected part. Type I coatings are the easiest to remove. They provide the best type of corrosion prevention for long-term storage and protection against abrasion and rough handling. Type I coatings can be used to protect cutting tools, saw blades, gages, end mills, gears, reamers, router bits, and various other parts.

Clear, golden strippable coating with excellent pot life.

A tough amber colored product. Excellent when durability is needed.
E-30
The most widely used Type I product. It has very low fumes with little odor. Part numbers can clearly be seen through this coating. Available in transparent clear, green, red and blue.

Highest quality Type I coating using white mineral oil that has an unusual resistance to darkening. Available in transparent colors.
E-45
Specialty hot melt coating. Requires a higher operating and softening temperature. Used for baking applications, on paint stopoff and armature varnish applications. Not a tool coating.
